Matt Cook

"Matt is the only one out there with this sound."

He specialises in providing an alternative musical option for people that want live music for their event, but don't want to go down the "pub and club" singer route.

Matt likes to play all kinds of different songs, these can be songs that are only a few weeks old and currently playing on radio 1, or they can be old classics from heavyweight bands. If it's a good song, it's in.

Matt uses only a guitar and his voice, and doesn't believe in using backing tracks or prerecorded cd's, as these detract from the goal - to provide real live music, to people who insist on an authentic sound.

Matt uses 2 floor pedals:
One is a Loopstation, used for repeating guitar parts that are played live. Using this, Matt can create the sound of 5 or 6 guitar players playing different parts simultaneously, live and without backing tracks.
The other is a simple vocal reverb.

Matt uses a genuine Gibson guitar, the divisive Firebird X.

This self tuning limited edition robot guitar can recreate the sound of literally hundreds of famous guitars, from rich acoustic to razor sharp lead.
